Zubereitung
- 1
Prep the ingredients
On a cutting board, thinly slice the onion and bell pepper, mince the garlic, tear the basil leaves, and cut the lime into wedges; keep the prepared items separate.
- 2
Cook the rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the jasmine rice with 600 ml water and bring to a boil over high heat; cover, reduce to low, and cook without stirring.
16 Min.Tipp: Keep the lid on while the rice cooks so the steam stays in the pan.

Brown the pork
Heat the canola oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground pork and garlic; break up the pork and stir often, then season with 1/2 tsp salt and a few grinds of black pepper.
8 Min.Tipp: Break the pork into small pieces as it cooks for a more even texture.
- 4
Soften the vegetables
Add the onion and bell pepper to the skillet over medium heat; stir and scrape the browned bits until the vegetables soften but still hold their shape.
6 Min. - 5
Season and serve
Stir the fish sauce and soy sauce into the skillet over low heat, then fold in the basil. Taste and adjust salt and black pepper; serve over the rice with lime wedges.
3 Min.Tipp: Add lime at the table so each person can choose how bright to make the bowl.
